This may be really really sad, but this is the 22nd box I have ordered of these. Both were 200 counts. I wear them nightly, usually for about 3 night per pair. Obviously I think these are amazing and the best damn things in the world. I suffer from snoring husband syndrome and these are the PERFECT balance between noise reduction and comfort. I have tried the smaller green ones and the larger orange ones. Just like goldilocks the green are too small (well They don't block enough noise) and the orange are too big (they hurt). The key to all these earplugs is to insert how they instruct you too. Roll them between your index and thumb so you make a squished cylinder. Then insert while it's still small. I wiggle them around until I can feel them hit the sweet spot. Pretty close to my eardrum. Make sure they aren't bent when they go in. Of they are, re insert. I have also found I can shove these in as far as I want and I am always able to pull them out. They won't work of you have half of them sticking out of your ear. They should not be able time all out. Unless maybe you have Amazon ear canals. I haven't had any problem with compacted ear wax. In fact, I barely have any now (not sure if that's a good thing...) Anywho, end amazing rant mode! (Please excuse my gross spray paint fingers in the pictures. How to roll it shown)

I moved into the first floor of an apartment recently and the building was using old flooring. I could hear my upstairs neighbors walking, opening their drawers, opening their sliding mirror door etc. One of them would ALWAYS get up around 2 AM and walk around doing something. From my room, it sounds like high heels walking on hardwood floor. It always woke me up. Anyway, these were my last resort. I never used ear plugs so it was a little uncomfortable for me at first but you get used to it. I now sleep without interruption. Actually, they work so well in blocking noise that it can be a CON because I can't hear my alarm now! I have to wear my Apple Watch to wake me up (by vibration, not sound). If you decide to purchase ear plugs, I recommend you on researching the correct way to insert them. I was inserting them wrong in the beginning. I found that the BEST WAY to insert these properly is while looking into a mirror 1. Pull the top part of your ear outward and upward. 2. Roll up the ear plugs nice and tight. 3. Insert the squished ear plug PERPENDICULAR and in the middle area of the tragus (as you are looking at the mirror) 4. You would know if you inserted it correctly when it tickles as its going in. 5. The ear plug should not reach outside your incisura if it is properly inserted. "incisura" and "tragus" are names of the ear parts

These work so well I almost couldn't believe it, they stay in your ear and are so comfortable and soft, and I am a side sleeper so I was worried about them squishing and hurting me but that isn't the case at all. These help me get into a deep sleep. You can kind of hear your own heartbeat with them in but it's soft and kind of soothing. Don't mind my cat in the pic :)

Now that I no longer have babies or children at home who need my 24/7 availability, I can luxuriate in the peace and quiet of home and neighborhood. These best-ever foam earplugs block out all the obnoxious noises of life--neighbor's barking dogs, loud cars, mowers, leaf blowers, maintenance road workers, emergency vehicle sirens, and the high hum of some air purifiers and/or fans, vaporizers. And anything else that might otherwise disturb your concentration during the day or your dreamtime at night. I honestly don't know how I managed without these before. Now I can't live or sleep without them and it lowers the basic noise-stress level of life down to ZERO. Love the separate plastic bags for each pair, too--can't toss them in a pocket, handbag, glovebox, suitcase, and always have them handy no matter what. We keep them in our Emergency "Go" Kits as well. We've tried several brands, but once we tried these, the search was over. BEST on the market. These, and a good sleep mask for total darkness makes for a perfect daytime nap or all-night sleep.

I'm a little embarrassed to say that finding earplugs I like has been a lifelong search and an exercise in futility (okay, not life-long, but for the past 9 years since I started wearing them to sleep). Stores such as Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Target, and most grocery stores only carry a few brands; usually the "Sleep Pretty in Pink" women's earplugs (because pink=female, natch; and it's important to be pretty, even when unconscious!), Hearoes (with varying noise reduction ratings), and the moldable wax swimming earplugs. Even the earplugs with the highest noise reduction ratings were sub-par, and many of them fell out of my ear by morning. We also sleep with a fan, and with any of those earplugs I could hear the fan clear as day. After years of this, I finally thought to look on Amazon and found these. I'm not sure why they're colored like they're carrying a glow stick on their way to a rave, but I don't care. Men, don't let the cotton candy colors dissuade you from buying these. The feature I love most (and I don't know why all earplugs aren't made this way) is the "handle" on the end - easy to grab when taking them out, and adds an extra seal against your ear after they are inserted. They also make it helpful to know when to stop pushing them in. They aren't as dense as some of the other earplugs I've tried, but somehow they shut out more noise. I don't think they are meant to last for more than a few uses. But considering you get a thousand of them in one box (okay, 200 pairs), this isn't a big deal. Use them once, toss 'em. Each pair comes packaged in individual plastic bags. I've gotten the best sleep I've had in years. And even though they shut out all the noise that bothers me, I'm still able to hear my kids when they come in to wake me up at the crack of dawn (perhaps it's the clear, piercing toddler voices). Thank you, rave earplugs. Now I need to go re-evaluate my life after leaving the longest Amazon review I've ever written...for earplugs.

For the record, I have no incentive for writing this review. I purchased these ear plugs because I am sensitive to sudden noise, especially when I sleep. Before deciding to give the Laser Lites a try, I purchased some reusable ear plugs and some from my local grocery store. While both worked well, they were also rather uncomfortable in my ear canal and left me scrambling to remove them during the night. Once I purchased and tried the Laser Lites out, they have become my go-to ear plugs for when I need to block out noise when I sleep. Initially I had difficulty getting them to fit in my ear canal and couldn't figure out why I was having so much difficulty. I found two techniques that made getting the plugs snug and secure in my ear canals easier. I found that either showering before I go to sleep or lightly wetting the inside of my ear canals made inserting the Laser Lites significantly easier. Using your hand opposite of the side of the ear you are inserting the ear plug also helps. Pull the ear towards the back of your head to open the ear canal more and makes the insertion of the ear plug easier. While I love this product, I also need to bring awareness about one issue I have with these ear plugs. Be very careful not to insert the ear plugs too far into your ear canal, as they can be extremely difficult to remove and you run the risk of rupturing your ear drum. My general rule of thumb (it may be different from one person to another) is for the ear plug to just about be in line with the tragus of the ear once it has expanded in the ear canal. I have found that placement to optimize dampening sound while making the ear plugs safe to remove. Overall, I am a big fan of this product and recommend it to users who are looking for ear plugs for sleep, studying, or other activities.

These are the best earplugs ever! I have tried them all and these are the most comfortable earplugs I have ever worn...and I have worn earplugs every single night, with very few exceptions, for over thirteen years now. When you wear earplugs 8 or more hours a day/night they can really take a toll on your ears if you're wearing the wrong ones. ✅ In my quest for the best I worn some of the worst at times and my ears would be so sore. No more! I've been wearing nothing but these earplugs for going on three years now. I recommend them to anyone who will listen to me. ✔️ HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I am quite possibly the lightest sleeper on the face of the planet. I think I have just about tried every kind of earplug known to man, and these are by far my favorites This is my third enormous box of Howard Leight earplugs, when they arrive it's like Christmas at my house no matter what day of the year it is. They are so soft and lightweight and yet they provide the best insulation from not only noise inside the house but outside as well. I live on one of the busiest streets in town. My house is on the sidewalk and it is constant noise from both foot traffic as well as cars. When I moved here I was afraid I would never sleep again. About that time is when I came into these earplugs. I don't remember how I found them, but boy am I glad I did! Try them, especially if you are someone who uses them daily or nightly. Howard Leight, whoever you are...Thank you!

If you are looking for earplugs, then as far as I am concerned, the only question is: do you want them on a string, or no string? I have been through hundreds, maybe thousands of earplugs in my life. Everything from the rough yellow nerf cylinders to expensive reusable "audiophile" earplugs. The short version is, these are the ones to get. And don't be fooled by the CVS or Walgreen's look-alikes, you want the actual Howard Leight brand, especially at this price (cheaper than the knockoffs!) They are not made of the same material/construction! These earplugs have a super-soft, crinkly/squishy sort of texture that only this brand seems to get right. They compress down to practically nothing, then gradually fill up your ear-hole with a super-comfortable, super-thorough seal. The result is a VERY effective and consistent "turning down the volume" of the world. It neither makes you deaf, nor does it ruin your ability to hear a full spectrum of frequencies, which is important for musicians, and also for people who just need to hear and understand their co-workers in a noisy environment. If you're a musician, these make stage volume sound like the same material at club volume, instead of making loud volume sound like loud muffled bass and nothing else. If you're on a shooting range or a noisy job site, you'll still be able to hear and understand speech, it will just sound like the volume knob is turned down. If you are trying to sleep, your alarm clock will still cut through, these are just going to take the volume of traffic, road, and background noise down a few notches. Other earplugs, including other ones that look the same, are not as good. This specific brand is consistently: - The most comfortable - The easiest to insert and use - The best at reducing broadband sound levels - The best at not just muffling highs while letting deafening lows get through. If you ever use earplugs in your life, buy these. The only question is whether you want the ones with strings (for job sites and places where you need to take them in and out throughout the day) or stringless (for sleeping or appearance). Buy the Howard Leights and don't look back. You can spend more, but you won't get better.

Fantastic value, great for range use! I had originally bought these to keep in my range bag for anyone who forgot hearing protection. Or for whenever I wanted to put earplugs under my earmuffs (really a good idea for high volume shotgun, or magnum rifle shooting). I wound up buying a box to leave at the range though, as the packaging is great to just staple to the wall and let people grab them as they need. The fact that each pair is individually wrapped allows for no fears of sanitation. These are plenty good for pistol shooting, or a couple of rounds of clay shooting, but I'd wear earmuffs over them when I plan on shooting more than 200 shells of 12ga, or any rifle bigger than a 223. The bright visibility also makes it very easy for RSOs to know if people are actually wearing plugs. These may not be as "tacticool" as some other ear plugs, see: Peltor NEXT Skull Screws Foam Ear Plugs Uncorded but they are 2 dB (significant) better at noise reduction, cheaper, and more comfortable for most users.

He's not going to quit snoring. It doesn't matter how many times you push and pull him, how many times to adjust his pillow, how many weird devices you buy off Amazon. He's going to snore. And he probably won't even go get a sleep study and get a CPAP like you, the much smarter partner, would do. Fortunately, Howard Leight makes these earplugs just for you. There are many earplugs out there, but I've found these to be the very best at blocking some of the thunderous snoring sounds out. Can I still hear him snoring? Oh yes. Does it wake me up sometimes? Oh yes. Sometimes from a different room? Oh yes. But these are still the best. In the beginning, I tried to get two nights out of them to be frugal, but they work best as a single-use item. Cons: wearing earplugs every night makes my ears sore. Pros: They're individually wrapped and easy to open when you go to bed thinking that maybe tonight will be different and wake up at 1 am realizing that it isn't. When you're complaining about your partner, you can tell people you have to wear industrial earplugs. That will help them understand what you're going through. They are brightly colored so you'll know EXACTLY how many your dog eats.
